Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Kentucky

Trigg County BBBS Thanks You!

Volunteers and Littles alike benefit from the donations and hours given on behalf of your organization to support our programs. We’d like to express our sincere appreciation to the following supporters for their recent donations to our Trigg County

Programs:
Wal-Mart Distribution Center and Transportation Department for your generous donation of $1000.00. CUMC Men’s’ group for your gracious donation of $150.00.

Back to School Bash

BBBS recently held their Annual Back to School Bash doing what our Littles love most - swimming. We had several Bigs and about 20 Littles participate. All had a grand time swimming, getting to know one another. Thanks to Hancock’s Neighborhood Market in Cadiz for donating the food, to Nathan Allen for grilling delicious hot dogs, and to Culligan Water for donating the drinks.

Gala Breakfast

Opening Day for Trigg County School System included a delicious Gala Breakfast. Big Brothers Big Sisters participated again this year and decorated their table with a Bowl For Kids Sake theme. Each teacher/staff support member at our table received a "Get Your Day" starter kit.

The kit contained gum (to blow off their steam/ or to have a bubble busting day), suckers (so they don’t get suckered up), smarties (cause you know our teachers & staff are SO smart), jaw breakers, a bottle of water, 16 oz plastic BBBS logo cup, silly rubber bands in the shape of ABC’s, and school supplies. The event was sponsored by the Army National Guard and we are so proud to be a part of the Trigg County School System.

Would you like to join in on the fun as a Big or Little?

We accept children by referral or parent enrollment, and match a volunteer adult with each child. Please call Amy Allen at 270-522-2210 or email at aallen615@hotmail.com for additional information.
One Hundred years from now it will not matter what kind of house you lived in…what kind of car you drove…what your bank balance was…but what will matter is that you were important in the life of a child.
